Thank you for considering joining the AIS Dubai community. We strive to make our admission process for joining our community as seamless and easy as we can for our prospective families.
Below you will find our admission process. Our Admissions Team will happily guide you through every step of the process. You can contact our Admissions Team by email [email protected] or phone on 04258 2222.
Step 1: School Tour
To help decide if AIS Dubai is for you, we invite you to join us for a school tour.
Our individual and personalised tours are by appointment only. We are happy to answer all of your questions and provide guidance on our curriculum, while showing you around our state of the art facilities.
If you are not yet in Dubai, we are happy to meet with you online to discuss your prospective move to Dubai and how we can make the change as smooth as possible as we can for your children. Please use the same booking form as the link below.
Our tours book out one to two weeks in advance. Please make your appointment as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Step 2: Application Submission
Before submitting your application, parents should ensure they have read our Admissions Policy.
If you decide you would like to enrol your child at AIS Dubai, please complete our Application Form.
Please note that in order to progress to the interview stage, it is essential that all forms be completed IN FULL and all the required documentation must be provided. We understand there may be some documentation that is unavailable at the time of enrolment (eg: Emirates ID) and the Enrolments Team will ascertain if sufficient information has been provided for you to progress to the interview stage.
Please review our tuition fee details published on the official KHDA portal.
Transfer Certificate
In the UAE a transfer certificate is issued by schools to prove the years of study, completion and promotion of last grade and all previous financial obligations have been settled. All students must be registered with KDHA before they begin at school and a transfer certificate is required to complete registration in the following circumstances:
- For students transferring from another school in Dubai, a transfer certificate is required for all year levels (PreKG to Year 12). Please contact your previous school to obtain this certificate.
- For students arriving from outside of Dubai and are enrolling in Year 2 and above a transfer certificate from the student's previous school is required. Please see below requirements for endorsement. Click here for a template that can be used by the previous school.
For students transferring from the following locations, the listed endorsements are required.
Another emirate in the UAE or any GCC country:
- School principal’s signature and school stamp
- Attestation by the Educational Authority in that Emirate or attestation by the Ministry of Education in the GCC country
North America, Western Europe and Australia:
- School principal’s signature and school stamp
Middle East (excluding the UAE), South and Central America, Asia, Russia and former Russian States, Eastern Europe, Africa and New Zealand:
- School principal’s signature and school stamp
- Attestation by the Ministry of Education in the country of origin
- Attestation by UAE Consulate or Embassy in the origin country OR by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE.
Step 3: Enrolment Questionnaire and Interview Booking
Once your application fee is received and all the required documentation has been completed, submitted and checked by the Enrolments Team, the next step is to arrange for an interview with our Heads of School.
When ALL of the above is completed our Enrolments Team will contact you by email inviting you to book your interview appointment.
Step 4: Enrolment Interview
The purpose of the interview is a chance for us to get to know your child better, understand their previous school experience, their interests and goals for their school career.
The parent and enrolling student are required to attend the interview with the Head of School.
Step 5: Acceptance
The Head of School will decide on the outcome of the enrolment application, with parents notified by email if they have been successful.
If you are accepted, the non-refundable Enrolment Deposit and completed Enrolment Agreement will be required within one week to secure the enrolment. If the Enrolment Deposit is not paid at this time, the position may be offered to another applicant.
Step 6: KHDA Registration
Upon confirmed payment of your enrolment deposit we will begin your registration with KHDA. This must be completed and you must sign the KHDA Parent Contract before your child is able to begin studying with us.
If you have not yet submitted your Transfer Certificate, our Enrolments team will contact you for the document to submit during registration.
When registration is completed a parent will receive a message directly from KHDA by either text message or email to review and sign the Parent Contract. Please do not ignore these messages and follow the steps to review and agree to the contract at your earliest convenience.
Step 7: Enrolment Orientation
Following KHDA registration, you will be invited by email to make an appointment for your Enrolment Orientation.
At this appointment you will be able to purchase your uniforms, meet our clinic staff to discuss any medical requirements and our procedures and see your future classroom. We'll also run through our Absence and Uniform policies with you and discuss our drop off and pick up procedures.
At the end of this appointment our enrolment process is complete. Congratulations and welcome to the AIS Dubai community. Our next step is to ensure your child quickly and smoothly settles in into our classes.
